Happy 232nd. birthday, America. Well, let’s make it as positive of an experience as possible, given everything happening around us these days.
It seems like the family bailed on us, no in-laws, my mom decided to stay home, and we’re all just relieved to be back in the air conditioning after a long walk down the Boise greenbelt. It’ll actually be nice just to hang with the family tonight and do some fireworks, instead of entertaining the entire clan at our place, again.
I can say, with great sincerety, that I’m not entirely jubilant this year. It’s an election year; meaning we’ll get four more years of a slightly differently branded form of tyranny. As if that wasn’t enough, it looks like Our Brave Leader is preparing heavily to invade yet another middle-eastern nation. Torture has become acceptable for both our prisoners of war, as well as our citizens here within our own shores, i.e. electric shock (tasers).
I of course, agree with Ron Paul that the patriot cannot be defined as one who worships political icons, idols, military might, and the worthless scumbags in our ever morally-declining oligarchy.
So, happy birthday America - maybe we’ll find more to celebrate for next year…or not.
While every political candidate in the race, in both parties, save for one (need I say whom?) is talking about everything BUT common sense economic ideas, the economy continues to crash.
Here’s a good article on the next huge round of losses for banks…and some in-depth info on how they’re aggressively exacerbating the problem.

First, they tried to tell us that Iran was attempting to acquire Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Then we found out they had been complying with investigators since 2003 and had abandoned their pursuit of them.
Then they told us of a (so-called) “incident” where Iranian speedboats were “provoking” our Navy (mind you, we’re talking about a couple of small boats “threatening” our Navy.)
Iran replies by saying, in a nutshell, “Whaddya you talkin’ about?“.
Then we find out, IT WASN’T SO.
What’s next? What excuse will they fabricate to attack Iran, now?
Imagine a country where foreign courts could put you on trial, without a jury, convict, and sentence you for crimes that are not illegal in your country. John McCain and several other presidential candidates this year appear to think it’s a great idea, indeed!
If you support American sovereignty, the constitution, and our laws, please support Ron Paul!
It was only a matter of time, as I’ve been saying for years, before the internet becomes filtered, censored, regulated, and controlled…just as every other type of media in the country has been for decades.
I can’t see this being good press for Microsoft and frankly I’m surprised that they’d put themselves on this side of the debate, given the reputation they’ve earned, whether it’s entirely fair or not.
